New Zealand vs West Indies 2nd ODI Today Match Prediction
New Zealand vs West Indies prediction for the 2nd ODI is that New Zealand are going to win another one in a crunch affair at Christchurch. Both the sides will play some competitive cricket but it will be New Zealand to come on top in the end.
Top 4 from New Zealand gave great performances in the last game and came up with handy contributions. Worker got 57, Munro missed a half-century by just one run scoring 49 from just 36 balls, Williamson got 38 and Taylor remained unbeaten on 49 as well. They’d expect better performances in the middle though from Latham, Nicholls and Astle.
Bracewell, Astle and Ferguson picked up 9 wickets between them in the first game and will be expected to repeat similar performances in 2nd ODI as well. Southee and Boult will be expected to strike up front, however.
West Indies would expect Gayle to fire at top just as he did in the recently concluded BPL 2017. Ewin Lewis scored 76 in the first game and was ecstatic with his hot selection. Powell also scored 59 towards the latter part of the innings and will also be a key player for them in the next game. What West Indies is missing, however, is a solid performance from number 3 to 5 where they have Hope, Hetmyer and Mohammad. Let’s see if they can pull something special in the next game.
Only Holder and Nurse could pick up 2 wickets each in the first game while Williams also got one. They would now want Beaton and Gabriel to pick wickets with the new ball to give West Indies a chance in the next game.
