After the whitewash in the ODI series, Sri Lanka are now looking for redemption as they look forward to the only T20I in the tour. They couldn’t really put up their best in the entire ODI series and only got 238 while batting first in the last ODI. Now it’s time for them to look ahead and win the only game at home during this Indian tour.
India vs Sri Lanka T20I Astrological Prediction
India have hurt Sri Lanka badly in the ODIs and also their chances to qualify directly for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Now, they’ll look forward to end this tour on a high by winning the only T20I at Colombo on 6th of September. In fact, our prediction for the game is exactly the same as well and we expect India to win this one quite comfortably as well. However, they should remember what happened to them in the T20I against West Indies in the earlier part of this summer and must strategize the game properly.
Indian batsmen gave good account of their skills in the last ODI with captain Kohli getting to a landmark hundred at this very venue. He scored an unbeaten 110 in the last game along with a significant 63 from Kedar Jadhav. India have same set of players that represented them in the ODIs and they can expect pretty much similar performance to that. But the question is whether they will give a chance to those who made it to the final XI in the last ODI or they’d like to get on with their regular XI for the T20Is. Nevertheless, Kohli, Sharma, Pandey and Dhoni will remain to be their key players in the batting department.
As for their bowling, they’ll rely on Kumar, Thakur and Bumrah for the most part. Kumar was splendid with the ball in the last ODI as he picked up 5 for 42 and will be expected to repeat that performance here again. Chahal and Yadav might also have a role to play.
Everything that Sri Lankans have tried during this tour has gone in vain and nothing seems to work for them. Tharanga played a handy knock in the last game with his 48 runs cameo while Thirimanne and Mathews also showed their class with their 67 and 55 runs knocks respectively. Sri Lanka will, however, expect a far better contribution from Dickwella and Munaweera at the top who seemed to have struggled with the bat in the last game. Siriwardana, Udana, and Shanaka might also be seen in the form of allrounders but only one of them might get a chance in the final XI. Let’s see how it goes for Sri Lankan batting one last time.
None of the Sri Lankan bowlers could stand out with the ball in the last ODI and they’ll be expecting something special from Dananjaya, Fernando and Malinga. Vandersay might also get a chance in the only T20I.
