Srilankan team now get trained by Allan Donald, the former coach of south Africa to help with their preparations for the 2017 Champions Trophy held in June, the date announced by Sri lanka cricket board 30th of April.
The board said that Donald was expected to take charge as a assistant coach at Kent,but South Africa give two months to him for coaching in Srilanka not permanent,expecting good time here.
In his 11 year international career he almost picked 272 wickets in 50 ODI’ s matches.This is one of the best achievements among all the cricket careers which he played
In 2007 his coaching assignments with England before assisting Gary Kirsten as a bowling coach of South Africa.In 2008, Donald, with Ashley Giles, the former England spinner, coached Warwickshire to the second division County Championship title.
Now he will join Sri Lanka’s residential camp at the Pallekelle International Stadium from May 9 to 16.The team face scottland in two ODI’s before playing practice matches for their championship trophy compaign with Australlia and New Zealand.Australia and New Zealand also comes with good efforts,so this must be a challenged for every team which played in this championship trophy 2017.
South Africa will be taken by Srilanka which is in group B in their opening game held at Oval on june 3.
